As a freelance developer, I quickly noticed that the tools available on the market were either too complex or too generic to address the specific needs of independent professionals. Juggling mission tracking, invoicing, time entries, and client communication created a significant cognitive load.
I started building Pilotd for myself — a tailor-made tool that centralises everything a freelancer needs day-to-day. Over the weeks, the application evolved into a fully-featured platform: client and mission management, time tracking, client portal, invoicing, fiscal overview, and now team collaboration.
Today, Pilotd is available to any freelancer who wants to take back control of their business. The application keeps improving thanks to community feedback.
